Camp Wonder: A Community of Acceptance for Kids with Skin Diseases

We recently hosted a webinar with Camp Wonder, where families had the chance to learn about this life-changing camp for children with chronic skin conditions. Founded by Children’s Skin Disease Foundation (CSDF), Camp Wonder is a completely free summer camp where kids ages 6-16 can experience fun, connection, and support in a judgment-free environment.

At Camp Wonder, campers enjoy a week filled with campfires, sports, arts, and friendships, all while being cared for by dermatologists and pediatricians who volunteer their time. For many children, this is the first time they’ve been able to be themselves without worrying about stares or judgment. With all costs covered, including travel, no family ever pays for their child to attend.

Camp Discovery: A Life-Changing Experience for Kids with Chronic Skin Conditions

Camp Discovery, hosted by the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), provides a medically supported summer camp for children with chronic skin conditions. Campers participate in activities like canoeing, campfires, and sports while receiving care from trained dermatologists and medical staff. Beyond the activities, Camp Discovery fosters a deep sense of belonging, helping kids build confidence and lifelong friendships.

Camp TAG: A Safe Space for Kids with Food Allergies

For children managing food allergies and anaphylaxis, Camp TAG (The Allergy Gang), hosted by FAACT (Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team), provides a safe and supportive camp experience. With locations in Ohio, Michigan, and Tennessee, Camp TAG allows kids to enjoy traditional camp activities while learning how to manage their allergies in a fun and inclusive environment.
