Advancing Pediatric Mast Cell Disease Research: Your Voice Matters

We’re excited to share some big news with our TMS community! We’re launching the Pediatric Needs Assessment Survey—a new initiative focused on understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by children with mast cell diseases (MCDs). We worked with our friends at Mastokids, leading MCD pediatricians, and members of our medical advisory board to create this important survey.

If you’re a parent or caregiver of a child with an MCD, this is your chance to make a real difference in advancing research and improving care for pediatric patients.

Why Pediatric MCD Research is Critical

Children with mast cell diseases often experience complex symptoms and challenges that are not yet fully understood. Research in this area has been limited, leaving many unanswered questions about diagnosis, treatment, and overall quality of life.

That’s where you come in. By participating in this survey, you’ll provide critical insights that can help shape the future of care for kids living with these conditions.

Survey Details

Here’s what you need to know:

• Dates: January 31, 2025 – March 15, 2025
• Who Can Participate: Caregivers of children under 18 with an MCD.
• Topics Covered: Demographics, diagnosis, symptoms, insurance, access to healthcare, and more.
• Time Commitment: About 30 minutes per child.

The survey is designed to be caregiver-friendly, but if your child is old enough, consider filling it out together to include their perspective.
