Dr. Philip Askenase Joins the Medical Advisory Board
Dr. Askenase graduated from Brown University, magna cum laude, as an undergrad, and Yale Medical School, cum laude. He did his internship and residency in Boston, at Harvard Medical School, Thorndike Labs, and Boston City Hospital. He did post doctoral work at NIH, at London Hospital, and at Yale. He founded the Yale HIV and AIDS clinic in 1982, and the Yale Allergy and Sinus ENT Clinic in 1996. He is well published, with numerous recognitions and citations. He is a Fellow of the AAAAI. Currently, Dr. Askenase is responsible for the training of fellows in the field of Allergy and Clinical Immunology for both adults and children. The Board of Directors of The Mastocytosis Society is pleased to announce that Dr. Philip Askenase has accepted our invitation to join our Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Askenase is Chief, Section of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Director of the Dana Allergy Clinic at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Askenase has expressed an interest in getting more involved in work with patients with mast cell disorders, and we are delighted to have him volunteer to serve on our board.Medical Advisory Board
